DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our software-as-a-service solution operates smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with our development and support teams to implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automate infrastructure, and ensure system reliability and scalability.

Your Focus

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

    (We use Terraform, Ruby and Bash scripts to deploy on Google Cloud Platform)

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and reliable deployment of applications.

    (We use GitHub as our code repository and GitHub Actions and other scripts for CI/CD)

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of services.

    (We use Linux VM instances, PostgreSQL, MySQL and ClickHouse databases)

  • Collaborate with the development team to optimize application performance and scalability.

    (We use Ruby on Rails, JRuby running on JVM, we integrate with Atlassian Jira and Confluence)

  • Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud infrastructure.

  • Manage and optimize cloud resources to ensure cost efficiency.

Your Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role in a software-as-a-service environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
  • Knowledge and experience with Linux, SQL databases (like PostgreSQL or MySQL), Java VM.
  • Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or similar.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, or similar.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written in English.
  • Preferred degree in engineering, computer science, IT, or equivalent.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are located in Latvia.
